Delicious and rich, my decadent and simple Roasted Cauliflower with White Sauce is so good you might "promote" it to main course. Enjoy!
Serves 4 to 6
- 1 large cauliflower, trimmed and cut into small, even sections
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup Cynthia’s Special White Sauce
- Bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss cauliflower with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Arrange cauliflower in a single layer on large baking dish and roast, for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Pour white sauce over roasted cauliflower and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Serve immediately.
Cauliflower is done when it reaches a golden brown color, but personal preference is what will really determine the baking time.
My Cynthia's Special White Sauce is delicious! It may take more time to prepare than a simple Béchamel, but it tastes so much better. Definitely worth the extra time! You can use this sauce in a variety of dishes. It tastes great on top of red meat, mixed with seafood, or just over a bed of fettuccini. Click here for the link to the recipe.
