Watermelon Margarita Martini

This margarita martini is spicy, sweet and delicious!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup watermelon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 shot tequila (about 1.5 fl oz)
  • ¼ shot Contreau or triple sec (about 0.35 fl oz)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 lime wedge
  • Salt
  • Chili powder or cayenne pepper

Directions:

Muddle the watermelon and sugar In a shaker; add tequila, Contreau and ice. Shake vigorously for a few seconds.

Wet the outside rim of a martini glass with the lime wedge. Fill a small saucer with some salt and chili powder (or cayenne pepper.) Dab the rim into the mix while slowly turning the glass so the outer edge is covered.  Strain the watermelon margarita into the glass and serve it immediately.

Notes:

If you like extra spicy go for cayenne pepper instead of chili powder.
