Caipirinha is the signature drink from Brazil. Made from cachaça, the Brazilian version of rum, this refreshing drink will be available in 3 different flavors: traditional lime; strawberry; and pineapple-mint.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 lime, sliced
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- ½ cup cachaça (Brazilian spirit)
- ¼ cup spring water
- Ice cubes
Directions:
In a large cup add the slices of lime and the sugar. Muddle the mixtures until well incorporated. It should look like a paste.
Add the cachaça, and water and stir. Add some ice cubes and serve it immediately.
Notes:
This is the signature drink from Brazil! For me, it tastes like a warm day at the beach!
You can usually find cachaça at large liquor stores in the US, but if you are having a hard time finding it you can use vodka or rum instead.
